The ‘war’ word is being increasingly heard internationally as the U.S., EU, Russia and China adopt provocative postures over various disputes including Ukraine and in the Pacific.

War with the U.S. is “inevitable” if the U.S. involves itself in the dispute which has arisen over the Spratley Islands in the South China Sea according to China’s state controlled newspaper the Global Times.

“If the United States’ bottom line is that China is to halt activities, then a US-China war is inevitable in the South China Sea” according to an editorial in the popular government paper.

China has since last year been taking over a greater part of the long-disputed Spratleys and has begun land reclamation projects to make the archipelago a part of its sovereign territory. The move angered many of its neighbours like the Philippines and Vietnam who also claim the islands.

Geographically, the archipelago is close to the Philippines, Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines. However, China has maintained a presence in the region on and off for centuries which is the basis for its claim.

The islands are believed to be located over large reserves of undersea oil and are also strategically vital as a shipping corridor through which vast amounts of goods are shipped. The islands also provide a platform from which China could project military power into the afore-mentioned countries.

Tensions between the U.S. and China, while low-key in other regards, have been escalating with China responding angrily to U.S. reconnaissance flights in the region.

The Global Times suggests that China is not daunted by a military conflict with the U.S. – “We do not  want a military conflict with the United States, but if it were to come, we have to accept it.”

Indeed, The Wall Street Journal has shown that in terms of conventional warfare China is the undisputed heavyweight in the region with a massive airforce and navy – see infographic.

The Chinese are utterly scathing of U.S. “meddling” in the South China Sea, thousands of miles from its own borders and clearly views itself as the new hegemon in the region. This seemingly innocuous dispute has the potential to rapidly spiral out of control.

There are also simmering tensions between China and Japan.

Both have long held claims to the Japanese-administered islands — known as Diaoyu in China and Senkaku in Japan. Tensions have intensified in recent months, and observers fear that a political or military misstep could rapidly escalate.

In late 2013, China announced an air defense zone over the East China Sea, encompassing the disputed islands. The new policy would require airlines to give Chinese authorities their flight plans before entering the airspace designated by China.

Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said the new policy “escalates the situation and could lead to an unexpected occurrence of accidents in the airspace.” The United States called China’s announcement “unnecessarily inflammatory.”

Military posturing is quietly reaching new extremes in Europe, the Mediterranean and the South China Sea and the provocative bluster is reaching new heights.

Separately, it is believed that a senior NATO official has warned that “we’ll probably be at war this summer.”

India Heatwave Proof of Global Warming or Apocalyptic End of the World?

The recent heatwave in India has so far killed at least 600 people, and as the heat does not seem to be easing up any, authorities are expecting that number to rise. Many are using the India heatwave as just another example of proof for theories like global warming or the apocalypse (end of the world). Though the rise in heat could be a cause of many different things, it is clear that it is not normal, and as it continues to cause heat stroke in hundreds of India’s residents, many across the globe are growing extremely concerned.

Of course by now, with so much hype going on about it over the years, nearly everyone is aware of the theories of global warming. The greenhouse gases that are released into the

Earth’s atmosphere supposedly reduce the Ozone layer that protects the Earth from the sun and over time the world gets hotter, the weather gets crazier, and the climate changes. Theories about global warming show belief that the world will start experiencing stronger, more frequent storms and hotter weather in most places. Some of this theory does not necessarily make sense to some, but with the problems seen in the world recently, scientists certainly have examples that they can use as proof.

The heat in India reached 118 degrees Fahrenheit. Residents were warned to stay inside and drink much fluid. However, regardless of warnings and precautions, many across cities in India still perished from heat stroke. The deaths come in groups, leading to hundreds as a collective, in states such as Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and others. In combination with the violent tornadoes, massive flooding, dying off of birds from supposed avian cholera, and other climate and environmental events going on many believe that the heatwave in India is just another example that global warming is severely affecting the planet. However, others believe that global warming has nothing to do with it.

Preachers and religious enthusiasts are calling India’s heatwave just another example of an apocalyptic doom. Those who are religious do not believe that the heatwave in India is proof of global warming but rather the end of the world as told in the Bible, labeled the apocalypse. However, in this light the heatwave that has killed hundreds of residents in India is hardly the biggest event that has happened. In fact, many events have taken place that religious enthusiasts say are events on a timeline that leads to the end of the world, and India’s hot weather is just another example.

Recently, many events have taken place that have put the fear in many who claim that the end of the world is near. Since 2012, people have been claiming to hear noises coming from the sky, which sound like trumpets or horns. NASA recently brought this to the attention of nearly everyone, as they worked to explain the noises, after two years of supposed occurrence. Then their were the birds that fell from the sky, which people believed was a sign from God. Scientists stated that the 2000 birds that rained down on Earth all had something call avian cholera, a disease which killed the massive amount of snow geese during their migration. It then also killed bald eagles who fed on the carcasses and later died. The wars in the Middle East also sparked some conspiracy, claiming that the wars resemble the Bible’s telling of the destruction of Damascus. Now with the crazy weather following, as

tornadoes ravage the South, including a recent one in Mexico which was the strongest one that the country has had, flooding wipes out parts of Texas, Oklahoma, and other regions, and the heat rises like in the India heatwave, the end of the world in apocalyptic doom rumors are spreading.

So does the heatwave in India prove global warming or an apocalyptic end of the world? Combined with all of the other strange things that are taking place in the world right now, it is easy to see where one would believe such. However, if none of the other things were going on in the world, people probably would not think too much of the heatwave in India, other than the fact that it is unfortunate that it caused so many deaths. Whether the heatwave in India proves global warming, the apocalypse, or nothing at all, just depends on what a person believes.

The 5 Stages of Collapse. We are in Stage...

"For the most part, Americans are completely oblivious of just how close the country is to a total disintegration of its fiat monetary system...the United States financial system died in 2008.

It has been kept alive by policy deregulation, monetary printing, and market manipulation (including derivative manufacturing such as interest rate swaps).

These collaborative short term machinations have a lifespan that is diminishing every passing day, while investors who have made the wise decision to exchange fiat money for gold and silver keep wondering how long this manipulation can continue.

I remember watching Peter Schiff on CNBC and Fox Business between the years of 2005-2007 debating about the upcoming collapse of the mortgage and housing markets. On several occasions, Schiff was the laughing stock on the set as anchors and other guests thought he was simply crazy in his forecasts.

By 2008, the laughs had stopped while the country watched as the U.S. housing values began their rapid decline that would eventually surpass the disastrous records set during the 1930’s Great Depression," explains Turd Ferguson of TF Metals.

The paradigm shift in gold and silver will occur when the United States enters into Stage 2, the commercial collapse.

STAGE 1: Financial collapse. Faith in "business as usual" is lost. The future is no longer assumed resemble the past in any way that allows risk to be assessed and financial assets to be guaranteed. Financial institutions become insolvent; savings are wiped out, and access to capital is lost.

Here we can see that the majority of these conditions in the Financial Collapse have already taken place. The only reason why the U.S. banking system is still functioning today is due to the ability of banks to mark to model their assets giving the impression that they are still solvent.

The answer I give to individuals and investors who ask me the question “when will the manipulation end?” is that it will end when the U.S. enters into STAGE 2 or the Commercial Collapse.
Stage 2: Commercial collapse. Faith that "the market shall provide" is lost. Money is devalued and/or becomes scarce, commodities are hoarded, import and retail chains break down, and widespread shortages of survival necessities become the norm.

As businesses shut down, storefronts are boarded up and the population is left largely penniless and dependent on FEMA and charity for survival, the government may consider what to do next. It could, for example, repatriate all foreign troops and set them to work on public works projects designed to directly help the population.

It could promote local economic self-sufficiency, by establishing community-supported agriculture programs, erecting renewable energy systems, and organizing and training local self-defense forces to maintain law and order. The Army Corps of Engineers could be ordered to bulldoze buildings erected on former farmland around city centers, return the land to cultivation, and to construct high-density solar-heated housing in urban centers to resettle those who are displaced.

In the interim, it could reduce homelessness by imposing a steep tax on vacant residential properties and funneling the proceeds into rent subsidies for the indigent. With plenty of luck, such measures may be able to reverse the trend, eventually providing for a restoration of pre-Stage 2 conditions.

Despite the forecasts of many analysts of what the U.S. Dollar index or government deficits will look like in the next decade,

The U.S. economy will enter into STAGE 2 more likely than not 
in the next few years. 
The commercial collapse as described by Orlov is when 
the whole country will feel the impact of the 
ongoing economic disintegration.

Yet, the majority of investors today are still suffering from the same mass psychology that kept the financial and housing markets elevated several years ago.

Gold has been called the “Barbarous Relic”, time and time again on CNBC and Fox Business. There is a certain amount of hubris and ego attached to our present financial house of cards— a paradigm that is coming to an end.

Those who believe that gold is a barbarous relic are still drinking that barbarous water, or breathing that barbarous air, or eating that barbarous bread or still cleaning with that barbarous object called a broom. All these so-called barbarous items listed above haven’t changed much since the Roman and Medieval times.

The constant negative rhetoric of gold in the main stream media keeps the mass psychology of the public away from investing in the precious metals and into increasing worthless paper retirement assets.

This may or may not be a good plan, but in any case it is rather unrealistic, because the United States, being so deeply in debt, will be forced to accede to the wishes of its foreign creditors, who own a lot of national assets (land, buildings, and businesses) and who would rather see a dependent American population slaving away working off their debt than a self-sufficient one, conveniently forgetting that they have mortgaged their children's futures to pay for military fiascos, big houses, big cars, and flat-screen television sets.

Thus, a much more likely scenario is that the federal government (knowing who butters their bread) will remain subservient to foreign financial interests. It will impose austerity conditions, maintain law and order through draconian means, and aide in the construction of foreign-owned factory towns and plantations. As people start to think that having a government may not be such a good idea, conditions become ripe for Stage 3.

Stage 3: Political Collapse

Faith that "the government will take care of you" is lost. As official attempts to mitigate widespread loss of access to commercial sources of survival necessities fail to make a difference, the political establishment loses legitimacy and relevance.

Stage 3 collapse is more than likely to be visible directly through one's own living-room window, which may or may not still have glass in it. After a significant amount of bloodletting, much of the country becomes a no-go zone for the remaining authorities.

Foreign creditors decide that their debts might not be repaid after all, cut their losses and depart in haste. The rest of the world decides to act as if there is no such place as The United States - because "nobody goes there any more." So as not to lose out on the entertainment value, the foreign press still prints sporadic fables about Americans who eat their young, much as they did about Russia following the Soviet collapse.

A few brave American expatriates who still come back to visit bring back amazing stories of a different kind, but everyone considers them eccentric and perhaps a little bit crazy.

As stage 3 collapse runs its course, the power vacuum left by the now defunct federal, state and local government is filled by a variety of new power structures. Remnants of former law enforcement and military, urban gangs, ethnic mafias, religious cults and wealthy property owners all attempt to build their little empires on the ruins of the big one, fighting each other over territory and access to resources.

This is the age of Big Men: charismatic leaders, rabble-rousers, ruthless Macchiavelian princes and war lords. In the luckier places, they find it to their common advantage to pool their resources and amalgamate into some sort of legitimate local government, while in the rest their jostling for power leads to a spiral of conflict and open war.

Stage 4: Social Collapse

Faith that "your people will take care of you" is lost, as local social institutions, be they charities or other groups that rush in to fill the power vacuum run out of resources or fail through internal conflict.

Stage 4 collapse occurs when society becomes so disordered and impoverished that it can no longer support the Big Men, who become smaller and smaller, and eventually fade from view. Society fragments into extended families and small tribes of a dozen or so families, who find it advantageous to band together for mutual support and defense.

This is the form of society that has existed over some 98.5% of humanity's existence as a biological species, and can be said to be the bedrock of human existence. Humans can exist at this level of organization for thousands, perhaps millions of years. Most mammalian species go extinct after just a few million years, but, for all we know, Homo Sapiens still have a million or two left.

If its physical environment becomes so disordered and impoverished that hunger and starvation become widespread, then Stage 5 collapse becomes likely.

Stage 5: Cultural Collapse
Faith in the goodness of humanity is lost. People lose their capacity for "kindness, generosity, consideration, affection, honesty, hospitality, compassion, charity" (Turnbull, The Mountain People). Families disband and compete as individuals for scarce resources. The new motto becomes "May you die today so that I die tomorrow" (Solzhenitsyn, The Gulag Archipelago). There may even be some cannibalism.

At this stage, a simpler biological imperative takes over, to preserve the life of the breeding couples. Families disband, the old are abandoned to their own devices, and children are only cared for up to age 3. All social unity is destroyed, and even the couples may disband for a time, preferring to forage on their own and refusing to share food.

This is the state of society described by the anthropologist Colin Turnbull in his book The Mountain People. If society prior to Stage 5 collapse can be said to be the historical norm for humans, Stage 5 collapse brings humanity to the verge of physical extinction.

The US the government happens to be debt addict and gambler number one. As individuals, we may have been as virtuous as we wished, but the government will have still run up exorbitant debts on our behalf.

Every level of government, from local municipalities and authorities, which need the financial markets to finance their public works and public services, to the federal government, which relies on foreign investment to finance its endless wars, is addicted to public debt. They know they cannot stop borrowing, and so they will do anything they can to keep the game going for as long as possible.

Unfortunately, that game is about to come to an end.

Billionaire investor George Soros told the World Bank this week that the planet is on the verge of a third world war that could arise out of an economic collapse in China.

“If there is conflict between China and a military ally of the United States, like Japan, then it is not an exaggeration to say that we are on the threshold of a third world war,” Soros said during a Bretton Woods conference.

The billionaire warned that China’s difficulty in transitioning from an export economy to a domestic demand-led system could force Beijing to whip up a conflict with an external enemy in a bid to keep the country from collapsing.

Soros said the only solution to the prospect was to allow China to join the IMF’s basket of global currencies so that it could compete with the dollar.

Without this measure, Soros warned that, “there is a real danger that China will align itself with Russia politically and militarily, and then the threat of third world war becomes real, so it is worth trying.”

“Conquering the Coming Collapse” – Real, Proven Survival Strategies When Money Turns Into Dust

Soros’ comments came in the same week that CNN revealed how China’s Navy has repeatedly issued warnings to U.S. surveillance planes flying over the South China Sea. Beijing is attempting to increase its influence by building a series of man made islands in the region.

A report out of Russian state media outlet Sputnik News also speculates that the presence of American ships in the South China Sea could lead to a war between the two global superpowers.

In a People’s Daily editorial last September, Chinese PLA Professor Han Xudong warned that Beijing should prepare itself for a third world war which could arise out of the conflict between the United States and Russia over Ukraine.

“As the Ukrainian crisis deepens, international observers have become more and more concerned about a direct military clash between the US and Russia. Once an armed rivalry erupts, it is likely to extend to the globe. And it is not impossible that a world war could break out,” wrote Xudong.

China recently increased its military budget by 10% for 2015, making it the world’s second-largest military spender.

Fearing global unrest and the possibility of another major conflict, many members of the elite have been buying remote property and land in places like New Zealand, according to reports that emerged out of January’s Davos Economic Forum.

Secrets Of The Third Eye, The Eye Of Horus, Beyond The Illuminati

The third eye (also known as the inner eye) is a mystical and esoteric concept referring to a speculative invisible eye which provides perception beyond ordinary sight. In certain dharmic spiritual traditions such as Hinduism, the third eye refers to the ajna, or brow, chakra. In Theosophy it is related to the pineal gland. The third eye refers to the gate that leads to inner realms and spaces of higher consciousness. 

In New Age spirituality, the third eye often symbolizes a state of enlightenment or the evocation of mental images having deeply personal spiritual or psychological significance. The third eye is often associated with religious visions, clairvoyance, the ability to observe chakras and auras, precognition, and out-of-body experiences. People who are claimed to have the capacity to utilize their third eyes are sometimes known as seers.

The pineal gland (also called the pineal body, epiphysis cerebri, epiphysis, conarium or the “third eye”) is a small endocrine gland in the vertebrate brain. It produces the serotonin derivative melatonin, a hormone that affects the modulation of wake/sleep patterns and seasonal functions. Its shape resembles a tiny pine cone (hence its name), and it is located near the center of the brain, between the two hemispheres, tucked in a groove where the two rounded thalamic bodies join.

The Eye of Horus is an ancient Egyptian symbol of protection, royal power and good health. The eye is personified in the goddess Wadjet (also written as Wedjat, or “Udjat”, Uadjet, Wedjoyet, Edjo or Uto). It is also known as ”The Eye of Ra”. 

The name Wadjet is derived from “wadj” meaning “green”, hence “the green one”, and was known to the Greeks and Romans as “uraeus” from the Egyptian “iaret” meaning “risen one” from the image of a cobra rising up in protection. Wadjet was one of the earliest of Egyptian deities who later became associated with other goddesses such as Bast, Sekhmet, Mut, and Hathor. She was the tutelary deity of Lower Egypt and the major Delta shrine the “per-nu” was under her protection.  Hathor is also depicted with this eye. 

 

Horus was the ancient Egyptian sky god who was usually depicted as a falcon, most likely a lanner or peregrine falcon. His right eye was associated with the sun Ra. There are seven different hieroglyphs used to represent the eye, most commonly “ir.t” in Egyptian, which also has the meaning “to make or do” or “one who does”.[5] In Egyptian myth the eye was not the passive organ of sight but more an agent of action, protection or wrath.

An interpretation of the Milky Way was that it was the primal snake, Wadjet, the protector of Egypt. In this interpretation she was closely associated with Hathor and other early deities among the various aspects of the great mother goddess, including Mut and Naunet. The association with Hathor brought her son Horus into association also. The cult of Ra absorbed most of Horus’s traits and included the protective eye of Wadjet that had shown her association with Hathor.

When identified as the protector of Ra, who was also a sun deity associated with heat and fire, she was sometimes said to be able to send fire onto those who might attack, just as the cobra spits poison into the eyes of its enemies.  In this role she was called the Lady of Flame.

She later became identified with the war goddess of Lower Egypt, Bast, who acted as another figure symbolic of the nation, consequently becoming Wadjet-Bast. In this role, since Bast was a lioness, Wadjet-Bast was often depicted with a lioness head.

After Lower Egypt had been conquered by Upper Egypt and they were unified, the lioness goddess of Upper Egypt, Sekhmet, was seen as the more powerful of the two warrior goddesses. It was Sekhmet who was seen as the Avenger of Wrongs, and the Scarlet Lady, a reference to blood, as the one with bloodlust. She is depicted with the solar disk and Wadjet, however.

Eventually, Wadjet’s position as patron led to her being identified as the more powerful goddess Mut, whose cult had come to the fore in conjunction with rise of the cult of Amun, and eventually being absorbed into her as the Mut-Wadjet-Bast triad.

When the pairing of deities occurred in later Egyptian myths, since she was linked to the land, after the unification of Lower and Upper Egypt she came to be thought of as the wife of Hapy, a deity of the Nile, which flowed through the land.

Wadjet is not to be confused with the Egyptian demon Apep, who is also represented as a snake in Egyptian mythology.

Other Traditions 

In some traditions as Hinduism the third eye is supposedly located around the middle of the forehead, slightly above the junction of the eyebrows. In other traditions, as in Theosophy, it is believed to be connected with the pineal gland. According to this theory, humans had in far ancient times an actual third eye in the back of the head with a physical and spiritual function. Over time, as humanity became more physical and less spiritual, this eye atrophied and sunk into what today is known as the pineal gland.

In Hinduism

Hindu tradition associates the third eye with the sahasrara, or crown, chakra. However, in the Tantra yoga system it is associated with the sound Om, and is known as the Ajna chakra. In Tantra, the crown is believed to be the Shivatic lotus of ten thousand petals.

In Taoism

In Taoism and many traditional Chinese religious sects such as Chan (a cousin to the Zen school), “third eye training” involves focusing attention on the point between the eyebrows with the eyes closed, and while the body is in various qigong postures. The goal of this training is to allow students to tune in to the correct “vibration” of the universe and gain a solid foundation on which to reach more advanced meditation levels.

Taoism teaches that the third eye, also called the mind’s eye, is situated between the two physical eyes, and expands up to the middle of the forehead when opened. Taoism claims that the third eye is one of the main energy centers of the body located at the sixth chakra, forming a part of the main meridian, the line separating left and right hemispheres of the body.

In Christianity

According to the teaching of Father Richard Rohr, the concept of the third eye is a metaphor for non-dualistic thinking; the way the mystics see. In Rhohr’s concept, mystics employ the first eye (sensory input such as sight) and the second eye (the eye of reason, meditation, and reflection), “but they know not to confuse knowledge with depth, or mere correct information with the transformation of consciousness itself. The mystical gaze builds upon the first two eyes—and yet goes further.”

“It happens whenever, by some wondrous “coincidence,” our heart space, our mind space, and our body awareness are all simultaneously open and nonresistant. I like to call it presence. It is experienced as a moment of deep inner connection, and it always pulls you, intensely satisfied, into the naked and undefended now, which can involve both profound joy and profound sadness at the very same time.” Rohr refers to this level of awareness as “having the mind of Christ”.

In Neo-Gnosticism

According to the neo-gnostic teachings of Samael Aun Weor, the third eye is referenced symbolically and functionally several times in the Book of Revelation 3:7-13, a work which, as a whole, he believes describes Kundalini and its progression upwards through three and a half turns and seven chakras. This interpretation equates the third eye with the sixth of the seven churches of Asia detailed therein, the Church of Philadelphia. 

In Theosophy 

Adherents of Theosophy H.P. Blavatsky and Rick Strassman, have suggested that the third eye is in fact the partially dormant pineal gland, which resides between the two hemispheres of the brain. Various types of lower vertebrates, such as reptiles and amphibians, can actually sense light via a third parietal eye—a structure associated with the pineal gland—which serves to regulate their circadian rhythms, and for navigation, as it can sense the polarization of light. 

C.W. Leadbeater claimed that by extending an “etheric tube” from the third eye, it is possible to develop microscopic and telescopic vision.[4] It has been asserted by Stephen Phillips that the third eye’s microscopic vision is capable of observing objects as small as quarks. 

In Rosicrucianism 

According to Max Heindel’s Rosicrucian writings, called Western Wisdom Teachings, the third eye is localized in the pituitary body and the pineal gland. It was said that in the far past, when man was in touch with the inner worlds, these organs were his means of ingress thereto. 

Other interpretations 

The third eye is used in many meditation schools and arts, such as in yoga, qigong, Aikido. 

In the esoteric discipline of Kabbalah, the Ajna chakra is attributed to the sphere of Chokmah, or Wisdom, although others regard the third eye as corresponding to the non-emanated sephirah of da’ath (knowledge).

While admitting that reaching agreement between the two countries will be difficult to achieve, George Soros – speaking at The World Bank’s Bretton Woods conference this week – warned thatunless the U.S. makes ‘major concessions’ and allows China’s currency to join the IMF’s basket of currencies, “there is a real danger China will align itself with Russia politically and militarily, and then the threat of world war becomes real.”

Much in global geopolitics depends on the health and trajectory of the Chinese economy, was the undertone of George Soros’ comments as he spoke this week, but as MarketWatch reports,

Billionaire investor George Soros said flatly that he’s concerned about the possibility of another world war.

If China’s efforts to transition to a domestic-demand led economy from an export engine falter,there is a “likelihood” that China’s rulers would foster an external conflict to keep the country together and hold on to power.

…

To avoid this scenario, Soros called on the U.S. to make a “major concession” and allow China’s currency to join the International Monetary Fund’s basket of currencies. This would make the yuan a potential rival to the dollar as a global reserve currency.

In return, China would have to make similar major concessions to reform its economy, such as accepting the rule of law, Soros said.

Allowing China’s yuan to be a market currency would create “a binding connection” between the two systems.

An agreement along these lines will be difficult to achieve, Soros said, but the alternative is so unpleasant.

“Without it, there is a real danger that China will align itself with Russia politically and militarily, and then the threat of third world war becomes real, so it is worth trying.”

And while on the topic, Soros also spoke recently, as ValueWalk notes, on the situation in Europe…

“The European Union was a very inspiring idea to people like me,” he commented, reflecting back to when EU economies were more balanced. “It was the embodiment of the idea of an open society, like minded countries getting together and sacrificing part of their sovereignty for the common good.  It was meant to be a voluntary association of equals.”

Soros continued to say: “Because of the Euro crisis, [the E.U.] has been transformed into something radically different.” He also emphasized that over time two different classes of countries have evolved: creditors and debtors. “The debtors had difficulty meeting their obligations and this put the creditors in charge. They (the creditors) set the rules and made it very difficult for the debtors to exit their inferior status. A voluntary association of equals turned into an involuntary association of un-equals.”

While avoiding making predictions, on Greece Soros noted: “Greece is a poisonous situation. All sides have made a lot of mistakes, and there is a lot of hostility, a lot of negative sentiments…Both sides are willing to hurt the other side even if it hurts them.”

The billionaire investor concluded by pointing out that military spending is currently on the rise in both Russia and China, warning ominously…

“If there is conflict between China and a military ally of the United States, like Japan, then it is not an exaggeration to say that we are on the threshold of a third world war.”

The US is Allowing CHINA to TAKE ALL ITS GOLD

Chris Powell – the co-founder of GATA – has been in the trenches exposing the corruption deeply embedded in our financial and political system. 

He believes that China is accumulating gold to hedge against their bad bet with the US government- that is, their large trove of Treasury dollars that have been monetarily debased by money printing (QE). 

In fact, he believes that there is actually an agreement between the US and China, that as long as we continue to give them all the gold they want out of our vaults, they will not dump our Treasuries. Doing that would cause our economy to collapse instantly.

There is already in place, a plan to revalue gold by 7 to 10 times. Gold is currently, approximately $1,200 per ounce;
 multiply that by 7 and you get $8,400 per ounce. 

Gold is the deadly threat to all governments, including the Chinese government.

Gold is a free market independent currency and puts all government currency at risk. 

Is China really working in the gold market for free markets and democracy and individual liberty around the world?

China, I think, is mainly working to hedge it’s stupid U.S. dollar exposure.

Because of this inherent nature in the use of gold as currency, gold stands as threat to a Government’s ability to dictate.

Whoever controls golds valuation controls the valuation of government currencies.

The cornerstone of democracy and true freedom begins with honest money. Gold stands alone a honest because it does not rely and counterparty risk and it can not be printed and devalued.

China could crash US dollar with 30,000 tons of gold: commentary

China has the ability to crash the unstable US dollar with 30,000 tons of gold reserves, says Chinese economic observer Jin Zihou.

In a commentary posted online, Jin noted that former US Federal Reserve chair Alan Greenspan once said that the renminbi could become unexpectedly powerful in today's financial system if Beijing would convert its US$4 trillion in foreign reserves into gold.

With the US dollar growing more unstable and China being America's largest creditor, Beijing could potentially crash the US dollar with 30,000 tons of gold, Jin said.

The US dollar still accounts for 60% of global foreign reserves, though there are many countries hoping to become less reliant on the US dollar. If China really wants to challenge America's place in the global trade and finance markets, it will have to do so via a significant amount of gold, Jin said.

Bloomberg estimates that since the last official announcement in April 2009, gold reserves held by China's central bank may have doubled to 3,510 tons. This would make China the second largest keeper of gold in the world behind the United States' 8,133.5 tons.

However, Alasdair Macleod, head of research for GoldMoney, states that China could have easily piled up 25,000 tons of gold between 1982 and 2003, meaning its gold reserves could have exceeded 30,000 tons by now.

It is suspected that China could be preparing the release an update of its gold reserves because the country's decision-makers appear to be trying to push the yuan into the International Monetary Fund's special drawing rights basket along with the US dollar, the euro, the Japanese yen and the pound sterling.

Beijing's attempts to internationalize the renminbi have been relatively successful, having already signed currency swap agreements with around 28 countries and establishing a yuan trading center in Zurich, Switzerland. China has also encouraged Hong Kong and London to develop into renminbi offshore markets and pushed for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation to promote non-US-dollar trade settlements across Asian countries.

According to Duowei News, a US-based political news outlet, China is clearly preparing to brace itself from the fall of the US dollar by storing up gold reserves. It is not the only one, with the IMF still holding 2,814 tons of gold in reserves and Russia doubling its gold reserves since 2005.

If China really has 30,000 tons of gold then the renminbi will be backed by a powerful shield, Duowei said. Even if it doesn't, no one disputes that China has been collecting gold on a large scale and that its influence and position in global financial markets have grown significantly, Duowei added.

Citing estimates by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Duowei says that the Chinese economy is set to overtake the US by 2016. This historical change could see the yuan replace the US dollar as the world's No. 1 reserve currency, Duowei said.

That said, this is unlikely to happen overnight, Duowei warned, noting that China's financial infrastructure is insufficiently developed and the likelihood that China has nowhere near the 30,000 tons of gold as suggested. China may now the world's largest producer of gold with 440 tons per year and the Chinese government may be buying a lot of gold around the world, but there is simply not enough gold to go around given the high demand among Asian countries and the fact that the rest of the world only produces 2,260 tons of gold a year, Duowei added.
